Your data
How your data is stored
A quick, plain-English guide to what Granular saves, where it lives and who can see it. For the full details, read our privacy policy.
Where it lives
Your browser
- What's stored
- Your questionnaire answers, action progress and carbon estimates, whether or not you sign in.
- Who can see it
- Only you, on this device. If you never sign in, it never leaves your browser.
Supabase — EU (Ireland)
- What's stored
- If you sign in: your email, your organisation's name, country and sector, your answers, action progress, saved carbon estimates and any carbon target.
- Who can see it
- Only you, when you're signed in. The database itself blocks everyone else, even if the website had a bug.
Vercel
- What's stored
- Hosts the website and counts page visits with cookieless analytics. It doesn't hold your answers.
- Who can see it
- Granular sees overall visit numbers, not who you are.
Good to know
Try it without an account
If you don't sign in, your answers stay in your own browser and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Only you can see it
When you sign in, your data is linked to your account. Our database only lets you read or change it.
Deleting your data
Email info@granularesg.com and we'll delete your account and your organisation's saved data. Signing out also clears it from that browser.
Moving to the UK
Our database is currently in the EU (Ireland). We plan to move it to a UK (London) region in future.
